Hello! I am David White, a self-taught photographer from Flagstaff, Arizona. A carpenter by trade, I spend my free time adventuring with my wife and our two pups, Lucy and Ollie. I’ve been taking pictures my entire life and my philosophy around photography is simple: With everything going on these days, it can be easy to forget that our world is still so full of beauty. I hope that my work can be a simple reminder of that.
I have been incredibly privileged to spend a lifetime outdoors exploring from the deserts and forests of Arizona to the shores of California and Hawaii. I try to focus my camera, a Hasselblad medium-format, on natural scenes and simple compositions of light and color. I don’t rely on heavy post-processing computer tricks in my editing and each photograph on my site represents one click of the shutter. Shooting on a medium-format means that the images can be printed quite large and will maintain excellent resolution and quality. I hope you enjoy my work!
